re-energize your soul

Opening to a wider vision of the world helps us as individuals to come home to ourselves. Life Force is honored to present for the sixth year in a row this mystical and opening nine-day experience in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Our days are filled with explorations of the stunning Peruvian landscape, including famed Machu Picchu, heart-filled service work, ancient Shamanic ceremonies, and authentic Peruvian culinary and artistic experiences. All interwoven with an intentional deep practice; taking refuge in our own bodies, breath and intentions on the yoga mat.

A trip like this is not only mind-blowing, but inevitably heart opening. Immersing yourself in other cultures and the yogasana practice are about humility, which gives us passion, perspective and purpose and we become humble warriors.

Brady Wilson

Born and raised in Snowmass, in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, Brady was exposed from a very young age to the power and beauty of the natural world.  He learned from his family and alternative education programs, ways to live harmoniously and enjoyably amidst the harshness of the elements.  Through adolescence, Brady enjoyed a mildly famous career as a competitive aerialist snowboarder.  After receiving a bachelor’s degree at Fort Lewis College, he became a Certified Yoga Instructor at Durango’s premier yoga studio: Yoga Durango.  During his third year as an instructor, he was invited to be an assistant for an international Yoga Teacher Training program in Costa Rica at the Pavones Yoga Center, where he is currently completing his 500 hour certification. Among a variety of other activities, he is passionate about mushroom hunting, performance poetry, singing and dancing, and pretty much anything that involves being in the wilderness.  Warm and welcoming, with a keen sense of humor and a love for adventure, Brady will lift your spirits and your hearts with his infectiously enthusiastic and optimistic outlook on life.

I have trained extensively in the Feminine path of Hatha, Bhakti, and Tantric Yoga some of my main teachers have been Shannon Paige Schneider, Aditi Devi, and Sofia Diaz. I have been honored to work with plant medicines for the past 15years, to receive the oral teachings from Aztec and Mayan grandmother Abuela Mali Nali through the prayer-filled tradition of the Moondance. I have received earth wisdom and love from the plants, the waters, the winged ones, and the four leggeds. I have gone to school for 3years of Wise Womb Medicine traditions, 2years of Ortho~bionomy training, one year of ancestral healing training with Shim Shai and Susana and was given the gift of sound healing, prayer, and song. In addition to all of these embodied studies I also was born into the gift of having a spiritual teacher as a mom and have been immersed in her teachings my entire life.

the Children of Niños del Sol

Plan to work with the Niños del Sol on a special, customized project based on the current needs of the organization. We plan to maximize our group resources and contribute with our hearts, hands and minds to improve the lives and opportunities for growth of this beautiful family.

Machu Picchu-xlarge.jpg

MACHU Picchu

Considered to be one of the most specular and remote ruins on Earth, Machu Picchu is a life changing experience for all those who are fortunate enough to visit this lost city. A full day adventure from the Sacred Valley will begin by train from the archeological site of Ollyantatambo, the gateway to Machu Picchu. This may be one of the most stunning train rides of your life! We will pass through snow capped peaks of nearly 18 K ft before descending into the narrow canyons and lush jungles that lead to the busting tourist town of Aguas Caliente. Upon entering into Machu Picchu, our journey will begin with a guided meditation to honor the unique space and energy within this sacred site. The remainder of time will be spent exploring ancient walls, terraces and mountains and archeological treasures. Our guide will not only guide an orientation to the cultural and historical context of the area but will focus on the cosmology of the Incas and the various theoretical perspectives from the disciplines of science and spirituality alike. With our hearts full and our spirits inspired, our group will return to the Sacred Valley in the evening, with stories, insights, and experiences to share on the night train home.

sacred treks

Apu Chicon Hike

Apu Chicon is a sacred mountain that sits at the top of the Chicon River Valley. It is one of the tallest in the valley reaching nearly 16,000 feet. This spectacular display of nature is capped with glaciated peaks and underlying native Keuena Forest filled with ancient trees.

Moray & the Salt Mines

Visit one of Peru’s most well preserved ruins sitting on a high plateau of over 11,000 ft. This area is home to a highly sophisticated Incan agricultural system with stunning views of the Sacred Valley. From here we will hike on to the Mineras de Sal, a spectacular natural wonder. Our journey will take us along an age-old crossroad where time stands still and the scenery is epic. This passage is still the preferred route for local indigenous Quechua.

travel

Our retreat to Peru begins and ends in Cusco. Book your flight to Lima, the capital of Peru. The airport code is LIM. Depending on the arrival time of your international flight into Lima, (many are night flights from the U.S./Canada arriving in Lima late evening or early morning), you may have to spend the night in Lima (contact us for hotel options).

Take a domestic flight from Lima to Cusco. Allow at least 2-3 hours in between your international and domestic flights in case of delays.

Flight time from Lima to Cusco is one hour. It is recommended to book these domestic flights in the morning as weather is typically better and there is less chance of flight delay or cancellation. We will provide a shuttle for the group from Cusco to The Sacred Valley at  12 noon on arrival day.
